Our consultants are:

  • Gertjan RhebergenGertjan Rhebergen lives in Huizen (NH) together with his wife. Gertjan has over 30 years of experience in RAM, risk & safety analysis, and has worked in the telecommunication and traffic management industries. Since the nineties he is active in the railway signalling branche, as a consultant, as resource manager, as safety assessor and as project manager for both the infrastructure and the rolling stock segment of the rail sector. As a professional he is always involved and/or has a leading role in innovative projects.
    Gertjan developed a network with numerous professionals and authorities in the sector, both in the Netherlands and in surrounding countries. His first realisation experience with ETCS dates back to 2007 when he started with the realisation of the STM-STM transitions at the borders with Germany and Belgium. For the past ten years Gertjan has been active for Vialis Railway Systems, Infrabel, NS, Program ERTMS and ProRail. More information to be found via LinkedIn.
  • Remko van der WeideRemko van der Weide lives in Groenekan together with his wife and three children. Remko van der Weide co-founded Engirams in 2019. Remko has almost 20 years of experience in the rail industry as a Consultant, working on rail infrastructure projects and train signalling projects. Remko's experience covers RAMS Analysis and Safety Case Development, Validation of Supplier’s products, Safety Management, SafeScrum. He has mostly been in the position of Safety Manager, being responsible for delivering the safety documentation and have these accepted by independent parties (ISA, AsBo, Safety Authorities). Over the past years, Remko was involved in a variety of projects developing rail signalling systems for ProRail, Alstom (formerly Bombardier Transportation) and Siemens Netherlands.   • Joost VermeulenJoost Vermeulen lives in Heemstede together with his wife and two daughters. Joost Vermeulen co-founded Engirams in 2019. Joost has 13 years of experience in RAM, risk & safety analysis, and has worked in the process and transportation industries. Involved in a range of projects, Joost has analysed and evaluated complex technical installations consisting of instrumentation, command and control systems, process equipment and human involvement. The objectives of the analyses were to determine and improve the operational characteristics (RAM) and to determine, improve and assure the safety characteristics of the installations under review. For the past 6 years Joost has been in the position of Safety Manager, being responsible for delivering the safety documentation and have these accepted by independent parties (ISA, AsBo, Safety Authorities). In recent years, Joost was involved in projects developing rail signalling systems for ProRail and Arcadis and train modification for NS. More information to be found via LinkedIn.
  • Coen VerberkCoen Verberk lives in Zeist together with his wife and three daughters. As of January 2022, he has joined Engirams as a partner. Since 2008 Coen has specialized in RAMS studies and the associated methodologies. He has a broad knowlegde base in process safety, operational safety and functional safety and the vital pillars within these types of safety such as technical safety and systematic safety. His solid experience from complex technological projects has built up within the oil and gas, process and railway industry. From 2015 onwards, Coen has been fully committed to the rail sector. This has resulted in extensive knowledge of the CENELEC 50126/8/9 standards and the safety regulation CSM REA. Besides his role as advisor within mostly engineering teams, Coen has acted as an independent assessor as NoBo, AsBo or ISA. Due to his involvement as a safety manager for several actors in the railway sector, such as the infrastructure manager ProRail, railway operator NS, or suppliers such as Alstom he has a good understanding of the (safety) importance of the individual stakeholders of the transportation system. His multidisciplinary experience enables him to control hazards on the interface between technology, user, manufacturer and maintainer.
